According to the Národná dialničná spoločnosť, drivers should see the opening of a new 13-kilometer section of the D1 Lietavská Lúčka – Dubná Skala highway this year, dominated by the new longest Slovak tunnel, Višňové, with a length of 7.5 kilometers. The modern and visually attractive Žilina bypass will not only improve safety but also save a significant amount of time.

Over the course of several years, we contributed to the construction of this technically demanding section by supplying five SBM concrete plants, which ensured the reliable production of concrete and base layers. Our equipment was located on both sides of the twin-tube tunnel. The concrete for the SBM concrete plants was produced by RBR Betón and Skanska.

Euromix® 3300 SPACE or continuous Euromix® 400 C was used for some phases of construction, and Dynamix® 2500, located in town Martin, where it now produces concrete for a hospital currently under construction, was used to complete the construction.

The motorway is now awaiting its final functional tests, and we are looking forward to the opening of the Lietavská Lúčka – Dubná Skala section and its full opening to traffic.
